In the new study, a group of men who had been prescribed sildenafil or tadalafil for erectile dysfunction were given two types of drugs, a pill for the drug and a placebo to control for sexual side effects. Those who were not on the drugs had a higher percentage of an embarrassing sexual experience. A group that was on the drugs were also tested on their own. The findings suggest that these men could be more likely to experience some degree of embarrassing sexual experience, particularly when they are taking sildenafil or tadalafil.
In another new study, a group of men taking sildenafil had a higher percentage of embarrassing sexual experiences. They also had a lower percentage of a sexually transmitted disease.
The researchers conducted a separate study in Europe in 2018 to see whether there was a difference between the two treatment groups. The new study, which is called a men's sexual health questionnaire, was presented at the European Society for Sexual Medicine's annual meeting on September 2.
